Wormhole Exploration 101

Wormhole exploration is one of the fastest ways to level up your survival skills and your wallet at the same time. You’ll be scanning down cosmic signatures, moving through unpredictable connections, and relying on habits like bookmarking and constant d-scan checks instead of comfy safety nets like Local. Do it right and it’s high-reward, low-drama. Do it sloppy and you’ll learn why wormhole pilots laugh so much.

Scanning and Entry: Getting In Without Getting Deleted

Wormhole exploration starts with scanning down cosmic signatures and treating every hole like it’s trying to ruin your day. Your first job is clean execution: probe discipline, fast scan patterns, and bookmarking everything (the wormhole, the exit, and any useful sites). If you don’t bookmark, you’re not exploring, you’re volunteering to get stranded.

In wormholes, the game doesn’t hand you safety info like Local chatter. Your safety comes from habits: d-scan checks constantly, staying aligned when it makes sense, not sitting still in obvious places, and never assuming you’re alone just because it’s quiet. Wormhole PvP is mostly people punishing lazy behaviour, so fly like someone’s watching, because someone probably is.

Looting and Exiting: Make ISK, Don’t Get Greedy

The whole point is to grab value and leave clean. Don’t overstay, don’t chase “one more site” when your exit is unstable or your situation is sketchy, and don’t turn loot into a funeral by hauling it out like a brick. Wormhole exploration pays when you’re consistent and disciplined, not when you’re brave for no reason.
