Wormhole Basics. Wormholes are cosmic signatures you scan down, and they can connect to basically anywhere: high-sec, low-sec, null-sec, or wormhole space (Anoikis). The moment you find one, right-click → Show Info and actually read it. That tells you the important stuff: what kind of space it likely leads to, the max ship size, and how close it is to dying.
Wormhole space is organized into Class 1 through Class 6 (C1–C6), with difficulty and danger ramping up as you go. The big “welcome to wormholes” reality is: no safety rails, no predictable routes, and you can absolutely make great ISK… right before you get ambushed because you got comfortable. The PvE can be lucrative (Sleepers are not your friends), and exploration/gas is a common entry path for newer pilots who want serious returns without needing a whole empire behind them.
Wormholes don’t last forever. They collapse from time and from mass pushed through them, which is why people “roll holes” to force new connections. Also: polarization is real. If you jump back and forth too fast, the hole can lock you out for about 5 minutes in that direction, which is how people get caught looking dumb on the wrong side. So the basic survival loop is: bookmark everything, keep your probes safe, spam d-scan like it’s oxygen, and never assume you’re alone just because Local isn’t screaming at you (wormholes don’t do that).
